DAVID G. NASAW - SENIOR ADVISOR
Responsibilities and Experience:
David Nasaw serves as senior advisor to RMA and is a voting member of the RMA investment committee. David has over 40 years of real estate investment experience, including over 20 years representing family offices, high net worth individuals and owners of real estate properties.
David is a Co-founder and Managing Director of Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, LLC ("MREEM"), a real estate investment management company organized for the purpose of managing real estate funds of funds. MREEM currently has over $2 billion in assets under management.
David previously was President and Founder of Metropolitan Real Estate Advisors, an investment and asset advisory firm engaged in the deployment of real estate investment capital for family offices and high net worth individuals. Metropolitan has made over $250 million in equity and mezzanine investments in over $3 billion of properties, including multifamily, single family, industrial, office, senior housing, self storage, hotel and retail properties.
David has served as a consultant to corporate clients on various property leasing and development projects. He was a principal negotiator on behalf of the former owners of the Oakland Athletics baseball franchise and the leader of a consulting group to a major media conglomerate formed to evaluate potential sports franchise acquisitions including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls.
From 1977 to 1986, David was Managing Partner of Metropolitan Properties, Ltd., a firm that was engaged in ground-up development of retail/commercial properties, as well as the rehabilitation of urban properties.
Education:
David earned both a B.S. and an M.B.A. from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
